
Judith (Judy) C. Dreher, 74, of Greencastle passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at home. She was born on December 6, 1940.
She retired from Minnetrista Cultural Center in March 2011. She had previously worked at Delta High School near Muncie for over ten years. She was an avid spoiler of grandchildren and they loved her for it. She loved to gamble, play cards, and bowl. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She loved helping people and caring for them. She’d do anything for those she loved.
She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1959. She resided in Greencastle until 1973 when she relocated to Muncie, Indiana. She and her husband recently moved back to Greencastle in 2012.
She married Russell (Russ) E. Dreher on March 20, 1966 and he survives. Also surviving are her 3 children, Pam (Pat) Foxx of Greencastle, Cindy (Mark) Copeland of Lafayette, and Russ Dreher of Muncie; seven grandchildren Brandon (Jennifer) Foxx, Joshua (Kelcie) Foxx, Katelyn Dreher, Kylie (Derek) Dreher, Kelsey Dreher, Zachary Copeland, and Sydney Copeland; and six great-grandchildren Abigail and Ethen Louk, Hailee and Owen Foxx, Wyatt Bell, and Elsie Foxx. She is also survived by a sister, Madelyn Nauman of Filmore, IN, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond “Dutch” and Myrtle (Head) Alexander, and two brothers Raymond “Bo” Alexander, William “Bell” Alexander, and three sisters Betty Arnold, Wanda (Bud) Harvey, and Waneta (George) Mager.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Cornerstone Baptist Church (3pm – 8pm), 218 S. Bloomington St., Greencastle, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
